Our dear and darling Sith Lord Nazirul has finally turned seventeen!
We (Alyaa, Mai, Deb, Nikki, Prav, Justin, Diyanah and I) decided to ambush Nazirul's house that evening for a surprise party as a secret birthday treat. We brought lovely chocolate cake and present aplenty to celebrate.
Many jokes and conversations aplenty flowed like water, and so did our drinks when Nikki accidentally tipped over her glass! ;D
We then stopped by a nearby mamak for supper and a drink, and left at around twilight. All in all, a day well spent. =)

... for tommorrow we shall die, goes the famous saying! =) Nothing fits this entry more than that quote, because this is the night before SPM Result Day -- the fateful, dreaded day when we shall finally know the results for our SPM exam. O.o Yeah, that's right -- Ph34r.
We went to Zen restaurant at Sunway Pyramid, and feasted mightily on sashimi and tempura, and took pictures a plenty. =D The whole Pondok Gang was there (minus Deb, unfortch!) -- Nikki, Nadz, Prav, Mai, Alyaa, Nazirul, Grace, Panda, Justin, Diyanah, Shu-Yin ... and me.
After the initial wanton scrafing down of raw fish, we made our way to Starbucks and indulged in coffee and cake. ;D
Much fun -- definitely a night to remember!

Right after the Malaysian Idol GRAND FINALE in which the glorious Jacyln was declared the victor, word spread around that the Idols and celebrity guests would be schoozing the rest of the evening away at a glamorous hotel nearby. All of them headed down the red carpet, surrounded by cameras and bodyguards, while a crowd of onlookers ... well, looked on.
That was when my aunt (quite a dominant figure in the country's media and social scene) was recognized by one of the MI staff. She was invited to join the afterparty just as she was about to leave the auditorium.
Of course, she made no hesitation to invite the rest of her family along as well. ;D
So guess who got to walk along the red carpet that evening, even though she had absolutely no right to and pretending she was the absolute celebrity(!!!).
(What's everyone looking at me for? O.o)
YES -- I sauntered down that red carpet leading to the hotel lobby (where the celebs would be picked up) like I was a million dollars, throwing I'm-more-important-than-you looks at the flabbergasted crowd, who were busy trying to figure out who I was. It was fun. Especially when my cousin and I announced we wanted no photographs to anyone who cared to look.
We waited around the hotel lobby, jostling shoulders with V.E., one of Malaysia's top Rn'B groups. The coach came to pick us up, and while we sat down comfortably, V.E. HAD TO STAND!
So, picture this: We were in the same coach with V.E.. And VE had to stand. Whoo. Talk about being a diva! ;D I really could get used to this, heheh!
when we got to the neighbouring hotel -- surprise, surprise! Another red carpet! Flanked by MI fans with cameras! And an archway made of white-and-blue balloons, leading towards a darkened hall lit only by strobe lights!!
Needless to say, we sauntered right down that red carpet like people who had never sauntered down red carpets before (eheheh) and headed straight for the buffet table. Much pigging-out ensued.
The hall was really dimly-lit, with only strobe-lights and dimmed, yellow bulbs to illuminate. The air was filled with pounding, headache-inducing techno music and noxious clouds of cigarette smoke, and the alcohol flowed like water. O.o It was disturbing, intimidating and utterly gorgeous. There were these little tables scattered around the hall and no chairs were laid out (except at the sides of the hall) so everyone had to stand to eat.
When the Idols started to arrive, there was much photo-taking and autograph-asking. My cousins and I were on a mission to get the best lighting in such a dimly-lit room.
Then the DJ started to play fun, dancey 80's music, and everyone got onto the dance floor to party (me being one of them, even though I don't dance!). My briliant cousin started a conga line, soon joined by various celebs and Malaysian Idol contentants, all congaing to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Which was possibly the coolest thing to happen all night.
To liven the party up a bit, they brought out really scantily-clad dancing dancers onto the floor. I found them intimidating. They could have put the Pussycat Dolls to shame. O.o
I did not leave the afterparty until the wee hours of the morning, finally reaching my hotel room at about 3.00AM. My cousin stayed out to kareoke with the MI Forum members, but I was pooped.
Thus ends a most *wicked* season of Malaysian Idol. Can't wait for the next! ;D
